Marseille Olive Oil Soap

from $7.00

Fer à Cheval is the oldest soap making factory in Marseille and their renowned 72% Olive Oil Soap is made from a recipe dating back to 1688. Saponification takes place in old cauldrons according to traditional methods. The beauty of this long lasting, biodegradable Olive Oil Soap is that you can use it safely for virtually everything. Dish soap, bath soap (it’s hypoallerganic), shampoo, pet soap, shaving soap, make-up brush cleaner (or any brush cleaner), laundry soap, for floors and sinks, hand washables, and is even touted to work as a bug or moth repellant. Use it directly, with a brush or a cloth, or grate it and mix with water. A quick internet search will reveal many ideas and recipes. I currently use Marseille Soap to wash our dishes as well as our fruits and veggies and rest assured I will soon be expanding my repertoire with a few of the above ideas!
